Most physician consultants left clinical medicine years ago. I didn’t. Every week I’m seeing kidney patients — not just in San Antonio, but across the country. I hold active licenses in 15+ states and practice more telehealth nephrology outside of Texas than inside it, all from my home base in San Antonio.
That matters because when a health tech startup asks me if their telehealth platform, remote monitoring device, or AI diagnostic tool will actually work in the real world — I’m not theorizing. I’m living it daily. I know the friction points, the workflow gaps, the patient trust issues, and the billing nightmares that kill otherwise great products.
For the past several years I’ve been embedded in the health tech ecosystem — advising companies in AI, medical devices, remote patient monitoring, telehealth, and digital health. I’ve sat across the table from VCs, CEOs, and founders. I understand how the money moves, how products get built, and where they fail because nobody bothered to ask a practicing physician.
I’m also a media creator. My YouTube channel, LinkedIn, and Facebook platforms reach tens of thousands in the health tech and patient communities — through quick-hit interviews with innovators, VCs, and executives at major conferences, alongside patient education content.
